The school received an award for being the most improved school within the City of Ekurhuleni. Palmridge Combined obtained a 83.67 per cent matric pass rate for 2014 compared to the 66 per cent of 2013.

The school also received an award from the Mayor for obtaining fourth position across the City of Ekurhuleni and he handed over a sponsorshp of R15 000 towards the school.
