Load shedding declared from 10:00

Eskom has declared that stage two load shedding will take place from 10:00 until 22:00 today. Please refer back to the load shedding schedule to see when your area will be affected.

Eskom tweeted that any additional changes on the already vulnerable system could lead to a change in the stage at short notice.

Stage two load shedding means that 2000 MW of the national load should be shed which translates to one instance of power loss a day for a period of roughly two and half hours. If you experience unscheduled power loss or an outage for an extended period of time, call the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality to report the disruption at 086 054 3000.
