Emperors cycling race

The popular Emperors Palace Cycling Classic will take place this year for the eighth time on April 11 and 12.

The event is one of the most popular cycle races in Gauteng, and it attracts more than 5 000 cyclists annually.

Every year the course receives favourable comments from participants. Most riders regard it as a fast and exciting route, and this year it will be again a manageable autumn challenge.

Sunday April 12 is reserved for road riders who have two distance options, a 99 km and a 50 km courses. The mountain bike classic will take place the day before on Saturday April 11. The popular event offers two mildly testing courses over 20 km and 40 km.
