Dr Buthelezi visits Alberton

The Inkatha Freedom Party Essie Esterhuizen MP hosted an informal dinner that brought various distinguished personalities together at Restaurante Aldeia in Brackenhurst on the evening of Wednesday, April 8.

Members of parliament, interested business people, political leaders and people of note were all invited to share ideas and break bread together. IFP leader Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi addressed the gathering and spoke against the current government’s economic policy among other issues.

The mood was outwardly jovial and relaxed. The dinner eased the way for the attendees to collaborate and discuss the various topics concerning them about the current state of South African politics. The overriding attitude seemed to be one of positivity as the guests sought to create useful connections between private and public enterprise.

The party was entertained by singer Jessica Lorenco, who performed a selection of jazz standards.

Dr Buthelezi was very happy to attend the event. In an interview with the RECORD the IFP leader praised the cuisine and entertainment. Dr Buthelezi stated that he hoped that any interested people in attendance would be happy with the information provided in his address.
