A small Easter function was held at Roxton Informal Settlement at Alberton Station on Friday, April 10.

On the day Easter eggs, clothing and cooking utensils were handed out to the residents who could attend. The children especially enjoyed the Easter eggs and the clothing will come in handy with winter around the corner.

Also in attendance on the day were the following members from Ward 36: Marie Greyvensteyn , Janet Swanepoel, Chris Swanepoel (Ward 36 councillor), Sam Mahafola a DA activist and member of the Settlement’s Residents Committee, and of course, the guests of honour the residents and their children.

Councillor Swanepoel would like to take this opportunity to thank DA activists for always being available when activities are arranged.
