Car hits boy on Swartkoppies

According to a release from Netcare 911 a young boy was injured after a pedestrian accident on April 23.

ALBERTON – The accident took place on Swartkoppies Road in Randhart.

“Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events are still unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation,” said Santi Steinmann, Media Liaison Officer for Netcare 911.

Emergency services arrived on the scene, where a 16-year-old boy was lying on the road. He was knocked over by a vehicle.

The boy sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for further medical care.
