Disabled woman receives wheelchair

Fundiswa Iris Mvelase from Thokoza had reason to celebrate on Wednesday when she received a wheelchair from the DA members of the Katlehong constituency.

She became disabled due to illness and has turned to different organisations for help but to no avail. Until Wednesday when the DA delivered on their promise to help. Lebo More, member of this DA constituency, said: “I was very touched by this story and made a promise that I would return to her with help. Today DA Ward Councillors Phillip De Lange, Sylvester Bodibe, Ernest Hlatswayo, Constituency Officer Clifford Mohau and me along with activists returned to Mrs Fundiswa with a wheelchair.”

Fundiswa also received a food parcel and she will be further assisted with physiotherapy sessions.
