Little girl died in Rispark accident

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl tragically lost her life during a pedestrian accident on the R554 Swartkoppies Road near Kliprivier Road in Rispark, on Monday afternoon May 18.

Exact detail surrounding the cause of the pedestrian accident and preceding events are still unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the lifeless body of a young girl lying on the roadway after she was knocked over by a motor vehicle while crossing the road.

Upon assessment of the young girl, paramedics found that she had died prior to their arrival due to the extensive injuries sustained during the accident. Sadly she was declared dead at the scene.

Traffic was affected as a result of the accident.
