GC Bakes and Supplies opens in Alberton

Gracy Fish, owner of GC bakes and Supplies, strives to make baking an affordable trade and make the tools accessible to anyone who wants to pursue their passion for baking.

ALBERTON – Gracy Fish, owner of GC Bakes and Supplies, strives to make baking an affordable trade and make the tools accessible to anyone who wants to pursue their passion for baking.

Gracy describes how she wanted to bake a cake for her husband two years ago and that she had never done something like it before. Without prior experience or training, she created her now signature, triple chocolate cake. When she delivered it to her husband’s work, everyone thought she was a professional baker and much to her surprise the orders started streaming in.

“I worked right through the night on many occasions but still didn’t make much of a profit. I did it because I loved it and to see the smile on a happy customer’s face was the reward that kept me going,” she said.

After working so hard and finding no supplier of baking and decorating supplies in Alberton, Gracy started doing some research.

On May 9, Gracy’s dream came true and she opened GC Bakes and Supplies. She now sells all the products she could never afford when she started out as a home baker.

For more information or to order a stunning cake, phone Gracy Fish on 084 283 5311, email her at info@gcbakes.co.za or better still, visit GC Bakes and Supplies at 23, 1st Avenue, Alberton North.
