Royal School breaks ground

Royal School in Alberton is planned to open in early January 2016. The official ground-breaking was held on May 23.

ALBERTON – The official ground breaking ceremony of the Royal School in Alberton was held on Saturday, May 23.

The school will admit students from preschool to Grade 12, and will be formally opened in January 2016.

The Royal School’s company has two independent schools in Pretoria, Queens School and Princess Park College. They have entered into a partnership with the Old Mutual Investment Group and Cosmopolitan Projects. Once completed, the school is planing on having 63 classrooms, two computer labs, three science labs and Wifi access on campus.

The ground-breaking event was attended by managing director Dr Bennie Fourie, academic director Lelanee van Vuuren, financial director Annelien Saaiman, school principal Mrs Nicky Bodley, as well as students and teachers from the Queens School and local parents.

An information session regarding the Royal School will be held on Saturday, June 20, at Royal School’s office in Leopard’s Rest, corner Kliprivier Drive and JG Strijdom Street. There will be two sessions, one at 09:00, and one at 11:00.
