Hospital celebrates Mandela Day

Netcare Union Hospital celebrated Mandela Day with a lovely potjie kos competition for its staff on July 17. The proceeds and donations went to various organisations in need.

ALBERTON- Staff from the Netcare Union Hospital celebrated Mandela Day with a mouthwatering potjiekos competition on July 17.

Potjiekos were sold at R7.50 a plate and fun stalls provided entertainment for the staff who could also purchase a Mandela Day shirt. A R5 sliver ribbon was available for purchase and staff made donations of tinned food, clothes, toys and toiletries at donation boxes throughout the hospital.

The Netcare Union Hospital would like to thank the donors for their generous donations. Donors included Paul James Hairdressers, Mike’s Kitchen, Meat Village, Alberton Tuisnywerheid, The Bead Warehouse and Jimmy’s Killer Fish and Chips.

All the proceeds will go the Alberton LewenSentrum which will distribute it to David House, Resthaven Baby Sanctuary, Sukasambe Home and the second avenue informal settlement.
