Anger erupts after son dies of Nyaope

When a 32-year-old died on Tuesday, July 21, at his mother's home in Kwanele, near Palmridge, a surge of anger erupted among parents.

PALMRIDGE – The man was declared dead on the scene by the police and a packet of nyaope was wound next to his body.

The street was crowded with angry mothers who blamed drug lords for the drug-related deaths of children.

“This nayope drug is killing our children. The police must stop the selling of drugs and arrest all those selling drugs. We know them,” shouted the women in anger.
