Schools show support for a good cause

Almost all the schools in the area participated by selling stickers to pupils for Casual Day.

Casual Day was celebrated at several Eden Park schools earlier this month as a way to show support for people with disabilities.

Almost all the schools in the area participated by selling stickers to pupils.

Veronica Flemmer, school principal of Talitha Stimulation Centre in Eden Park, said the school has been involved with Casual Day activities for the past 21 years and have been very successful due to the help they receive.

“The stickers we supplied to Eden Park Secondary School were all sold and we are grateful to the teachers and pupils.

“The school raised and handed over a cheque for R5 588.80 for our Gearing Into Action campaign.

“We thank all the pupils for their support,” Veronica said.
