Glenvista child stable after near-drowning incident

ER24 paramedics responded to the hospital where the child had been brought in privately.

GLENVISTA  – According to ER24 an eight-year-old girl was successfully resuscitated on Sunday afternoon January 10 after a near-drowning incident at a residence in Glenvista.

On assessment, paramedics and doctors found that the child showed no signs of life.

Emergency staff immediately began CPR and advanced life support intervention. After a short period of treatment, the child’s vital signs returned.

The patient was stabilised in hospital and thereafter transported by ER24 paramedics to Baragwanath Hospital for further treatment.
