Collision seriously injures two children

Two young girls were reportedly injured in a collision between two cars on Van Riebeeck Avenue in Alberton North.

SEVEN people, including two children, were injured in a collision between two cars in Van Riebeeck Avenue in Alberton on Sunday, January 17, according to ER24 spokesperson, Chitra Bodasing.

ER24 paramedics reportedly arrived on scene and found the two vehicles on the road. Patients who were found on the sidewalk were assessed.

The patients included a girl believed to be 18 months old and another believed to be about eight years old.

All patients sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

The two girls and five other patients were treated and transported to hospital to receive further medical care.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown. Authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
