AfriForum plans to open a new branch in Alberton

We had a lot of interest from Alberton as a community

AFRIFORUM, a non-profit South African civil-rights organisation linked to the Solidarity trade union, met at the Alberton Rugby Club on Wednesday, January 13, to discuss a planned branch in Alberton.

“We had a lot of interest from Alberton as a community, and we have lots of campaigns that will assist the community in becoming a much better place to live,” said Charles Castle, the AfriForum community coordinator for the region.

Projects and campaigns include the Blue and Green Drop branch project, which focuses on the efficacy of drinking water as well as sewerage plants around South Africa, campaigns against unqualified municipal workers and officials, illegal street name changes, racial quotas, farm murders and campaigns regarding the water crisis.
