Gogo is now mobile

If I could jump, I would jump high in glory to show my thankfulness!

MARIA-MAGDELENA Ruiters, a 68-year-old pensioner, has been suffering from painful feet and legs for many years and since 2015, she could not walk anymore and had to be carried to claim her pension.

This was until she received a wheelchair and is now mobile.

“Hallelujah, thanks to God, now I can also move around. I don’t have to sit in one place the whole day. Thanks my dear children for giving me this wheelchair,” said the overjoyed pensioner from Eden Park.

Wednesday, January 27 was a day Maria-Magdelena will never forget. This is the day when Phola Park Clinic’s rehab team arrived at the doorstep of her backyard shack to deliver a brand new wheelchair.

The old lady, with tears running down her cheeks, was as happy and delighted as a small child receiving her first Christmas gift. “If I could jump, I would jump high in glory to show my thankfulness, but I cannot because of the pain in my legs and even my hands. I thank you and the Phola Park Clinic,” she said.
