Human freeway closing soon
Beatrice's property has been a dumping site for residents for many years.
THE Klassen family in Packet Street, Eden Park has been suffering for a very long time as residents use their property as a footpath and a dumping site.
Beatrice’s property has been a dumping site for most of the residents of Mazda, Morris and Opel streets for many years. This single mother and unemployed resident could not stop the arrogant residents who emptied their dustbins on her property that also doubled as a shortcut to Phola Park.
After two publications in the RECORD concerning the Klassen family’s problem, a taxi association official promised the family that the association would build a wall to close the human freeway but this promise never materialised.
“I realised that the promise was not materialising and I decided to do something myself. I started doing odd jobs like doing washing and cleaning other people’s houses and now I am doing the fence bit by bit and the end is near. With God’s grace I will finish the fencing and there will be no more dumping and walking through my property,” said a proud Beatrice.
