Learner caught with dagga

Police searched two schools for illigal things.

ALBERTON POLICE, in partnership with the Metro Police, recently searched two schools in Sector 3 for drugs.

A girl in one of the schools was found in possession of dagga and was arrested by Sgt Phumza Mgedezi and Const Miranda Maseko.

“We want to ensure that schools are drug-free,” they said.

More unannounced searches will be conducted in the Alberton area and parents are warned to check their children’s school bags for illegal items.

Capt Solomon Matlou (acting Vispol Commander), W/Officers Nkosana Buthelezi, Gideon Mabasa and Michael Chekoane, Sgts Philemon Mashamaite and Phora Nkuna and Const Veronica Makgothi also helped to search the learners

“Thank you for the good work,” said Station Commander Col Phuti Sekoma.
