David speaks

Learners need experts.

ALBERTON High had a corporate brunch on February 19 in the school’s hall where the famous radio personality David O’ Sullivan was the guest.

He was the host of the very popular afternoon drive show on Talk Radio 702, which he left two years ago. David is a seasoned journalist, author and sports fanatic. He spoke about the bad and difficult times from the 1980s in South Africa and compared it with how the land is now. “We survived all of that so I am sure we can survive this.” According to him, most people strive for racial harmony. He also mentioned that this was his first time in Alberton. When the principal, Jannie Olivier, came to the stand, he thanked Carol Roberts for her hard work. He then said that he invited people from most of the businesses to support the learners. “We need to expose our learners to certain fields and we need experts.”
