Alberton resident wins watch worth R40 000

David O’Brien, of New Redruth, Alberton, will be telling time in style since he won a Breitling Superocean 44 watch worth about R40 000 in a recent Bunnahabhain single malt whisky competition.

The competition was run nationwide over the festive season in collaboration with Norman Goodfellows Fine Wine and Spirit Merchants.

As part of the prize-giving, David and eight of his friends were treated to a special whisky-tasting presented by Pierre Meintjes, South Africa’s ‘Mr Whisky’ and an ambassador for Bunnahabhain.
