IN the early hours of Thursday, February 18, a car (or cars) damaged the soccer field at the Alberton Football Club.
“The culprit(s) gained access to the club’s C park field and proceeded to do wheel spins and doughnuts which has left this field, which is used for games and training, in a devastated state. As you can imagine, with the season starting in the next few weeks and full training underway, this is a huge blow for the club,” said Samone Jonas from the club.
They are appealing to any members of the public that may have information regarding this incident to please come forward, and if there is anyone that would be willing to help AFC with the repairs needed in terms of grass, soil etc., to please contact the chairman, Warrick Mcdonald, on 082 325 1683 or email warrick.mcdonald@spar.co.za
