Be careful of these potential hijackers

I am certain it was an attempted hijacking

Good day

I would like to bring everyone’s attention to an incident that happened to me and I would like to warn people to be aware and careful.

On Monday evening, around 17:40, I was driving along Ringroad West in Alberton and came to a stop at a red light.

Next thing I knew, there was a motorcyclist in front of me, pointing at the front of my car, as if there’s something wrong with it.

I didn’t respond, somehow I kept my cool and just ignored him. Suddenly I felt a soft bump from behind and as I looked back, two men got out of a vehicle and pretended to look at damage caused.

I am certain it was an attempted hijacking, because after I drove away and got to my destination, I looked at my car and there was no damage to the front nor back of my car. And why would there be these men trying to get me to exit the car very soon after the motorcyclist could not manage to do so?

To everyone out there, if this happens to you, do not respond, I am sure that it is a ploy to hijack you. Drive to the nearest police station or and pretend to dial someone on the phone to make them think you are calling police.

Please be vigilant, think quickly, but stay calm: it could save you.

Almost a victim, Alberton.
