Firefighter teaches preschoolers about fire safety

Tefo Qothelo from the Ekurhuleni fire department recently visited Mini Fame Preschool.

FIREFIGHTER Tefo Qothelo from the Ekurhuleni fire department recently visited Mini Fame Preschool in Brackendowns.

He explained to the learners and showed them how to ‘stop, drop and roll’ and how to be careful when using electricity and paraffin. The importance of knowing the emergency number and your own address was explained to the little ones as well.

He wore his firefighter uniform and explained the purpose of his uniform and helmet. Each child was also given a ‘Reginald Rhino – the firefighter’ book.
