SPCA sterilisation in Thokoza

Alberton SPCA thanked everyone.

ALBERTON SPCA held an Outreach / Sterilisation day in Thokoza, in conjunction with Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD) recently.

The day was a great success and one female cat, nine female dogs and six male dogs were sterilised, vaccinated and de-wormed. All the pet owners went away with collars, leads, blankets and food. They were also given advice on caring for their pets.

“It was encouraging seeing people wanting to sterilise their pets, but financial considerations had prevented them from doing so. A huge thank you goes to the wonderful vets who assisted us on the day. Alberton SPCA were represented by their and members,” said Vanja Ingold, a member.

The venue was made possible by the kind assistance of councillor Fani Radebe, to whom thanks are extended. “Thanks also go to the Alberton community who donated items for our outreach. It’s hoped to do more sterilisation days in future.”
