City hosts arts summit

IN a bid to stimulate and revitalise the creative arts industry in Ekurhuleni, the City is hosting the Let’s Talk Arts Summit on Saturday, November 19 at the Germiston City Hall.

The summit aims to create a platform to educate and empower artists about the municipality, legislature processes and systems of development in the city.

The summit will start at 08:30 and will address issues of development, social cohesion, economic development, direct and indirect financial benefits. It will look into different categories in creative arts such as: cultural and natural heritage, performances and celebrations, visual arts and craft, audio-visual and interactive media, design and creative services.
