Ekurhuleni municipal offices to close for Christmas holidays

The municipality wishes all its residents a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dear Residents please take note of the following from the City of Ekurhuleni:

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality wishes to inform its ratepayers of the closure of Council offices between Christmas and New Year.

All administrative offices, libraries, selected rates halls and pay-points will be closed from 13:00 on Friday December 23, 2016 and will re-open on Monday January 02, 2017.

However emergency and essential services such as refuse collection, electricity and water services will not be affected by the recess.

“Time off during the Christmas holidays is the best opportunity to afford our employees to spend with their families especially those who wish to travel to their respective home towns during this season,” said Ekurhuleni metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe.

“Residents are also reminded to pay their municipal accounts on time and utilise facilities such as the www.e-siyakhokha.co.za online platform.

Residents are advised to utilize the following numbers in cases of emergencies:
Life Threatening Emergency Line – 011 458- 0911 or 10177 or 112 from mobile phones
Municipal Services Call Centre – 0860 543 000
