Join parents march
The march comes after years of parents complaining about alleged problems at the schools.
PARENTS of Eden Park Primary and Secondary Schools are invited to join a peaceful march on Tuesday, April 18, at 07:00, from Eden Park Police Station to Eden Park Primary School main entrance in Corvair Street.
The march comes after years of parents complaining about alleged problems at the schools.
The parents are holding the march for with the following aims:
Eden Park Primary School
- A forensic audit in the finances of the school – financial mismanagement
- Disbandment of the illegitimate SGB – with immediate effect
- Date for by-election – within seven days
- Broken toilets
- Nepotism.
Eden Park Secondary School
- Election date of a fully fledged SGB – within seven days
- The total breakdown of discipline in the school
- Financial mismanagement
- Nepotism
- Lack of accountability.
“In view of these developments, parents are encouraged to make proper arrangements with regard to the supervision of children. We urge all parents and community members to join us in our fight for quality education for our children. Education is a societal issue which affects us all,” said the convenors of the Joint Concerned Parents Committee.
The RECORD contacted the schools for comment, but they failed to reply.
