Shapiro and Eckstein not to be missed
He will be talking about South Africa’s junk status, how it affects the country’s economy, how it affects individuals, and other similar issues.

THE Alberton and Johannesburg South Business Forum will be hosting two fund-raising events over the next two months.
David Shapiro, famous caricature-artist, as well as Eddie Eckstein, comedian and former member of The Bats, will entertain the audiences.
The first event, which is to take place on the morning of May 25, will feature David Shapiro. He will be talking about South Africa’s junk status, how it affects the country’s economy, how it affects individuals and other similar issues. The event will take place at Sha-Mani Lodge, 30 Doncaster Road, Newmarket, at 8am. Tickets cost R150 per person.
The second event, which is to take place on June 25, is a quiz evening charity fund-raiser. The MC will be Eddie Eckstein, actor, comedian and former member of “The Bats”. His theatre appearances have included starring roles in Little Shop of Horrors, Pyjama Tops, Not Now Darling, Grin and Bear It and What about Love. He also did a Christmas season at the Wild Coast Sun in a show called Cyclone Eddie, in December 1989. Further details on the event are to be released closer to the time.
