Nine left injured when bus and car collide in Eikenhoff

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to various provincial hospitals for further care.

A total of nine people were left injured this morning, May 10, when a bus and light motor vehicle collided on the R554 in Eikenhoff.

An ER24 paramedic was making his way to work when he witnessed the collision. The paramedic immediately made his way to the collision and began to assist the patients. Further resources from ER24 arrived shortly after.

Upon assessment, paramedics discovered a total of nine patients with injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to various provincial hospitals for further care.

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene to investigate further.
