Attend self-defence class for peace of mind
This class will be presented by Captain Hennie Bouwer from the SAPS.
THE Brackenhurst Seester Gemeente’s woman group is hosting a self-defense class as part of their yearly fund-raising effort. Attend this class and be prepared when life-threatening situations may occur in the future.
This class will be presented by Capt Hennie Bouwer from the SAPS and will cover the following aspects:
- Blocks, punches, kicks, knife attacks
- What to do in a rape situation (theory caters for adults and children from age 10)
- ATM safety measures
- Safety at home
- Hijacking
- Laws in self-defense
- Bullying of children
- Domestic violence
- What to do in an emergency situation and who to contact
- Internet safety against pornography
- Drugs
The class will take place on Saturday, September 30 at the Seester Gemeente, corner of Nasturtium and Eva Streets, Brackenhurst from 9am to 1pm. Entry fees are R100 per person. For more information, contact Lovaine on 082 907 1563.
