Casbah Roadhouse is relocating
"We tried not to move too far away and we’re blessed to have found a spot so close to the old property."

CASBAH Roadhouse will soon be relocating from Voortrekker Road to the Alberton Crossing strip mall, where the butchery used to be.
Vivienne Theologo (grand-daughter of Ponch Theologo who established Casbah in 1955), says the owner of the property where Casbah is currently situated, is planning to build a new roadhouse there, which requires Casbah to move.
“We still serve all the original Casbah food and keep to the recipes my grandmother and grandfather came up with,” says Vivienne. “Even though the Casbah will now move to a smaller centre, we plan to keep that ‘roadhouse feel’. Our waiters will still serve customers in parked cars in the parking lot.”
She adds: “When we have funding again and Alberton Crossing management agrees, we would like to transform the parking area into more of a ‘roadhouse parking area’. We tried not to move too far away and we’re blessed to have found a spot so close to the old property. We have been very blessed by the support of our customers who have relocated with us.”
