One dead, five critical in Swartkoppies collision

It is not known how many were in the bakkie, but one was airlifted to an unknown hospital.

One was killed and five others are critical after a transporter and one bakkie collided at approximately 19:45pm last night, October 11, on Swartkoppies Road close to the Fire department.

It is unclear what caused the accident, but one of the responders to the scene treated seven injured from the transporter, according to him, five are critical and have been taken to Netcare Union Hospital to be treated while the others have been taken elsewhere.

It is not known how many were in the bakkie, but one was airlifted to an unknown hospital.

National Paramedics was first on the scene and was later assisted by Medhelp, Emergmed, Ekurhuleni Emergency services, Halo 1 from Halo aviation and ER24.
