Moving into the future with new technology

With a faster and more powerful function at five times the speed, these new devices are sure to bring your PC or laptop to full function and performance.

ALBERTON – SSD hard-drives are the latest hit on the market.

“They have no moving parts so they can withstand shock a lot better than a normal hard drive and there is zero noise as well. They use less power and produce less heat which is a huge bonus for notebooks as it extends the battery life of the notebook,” says Eugene Bosman (IT Systems manager for a major computing/computer company).

SSDs are fairly new to the retail market making them relatively expensive. The drives at the moment are limited to just under one terabyte and are not recommended for mass storage but rather as the main operating system.

There are various sizes at present and as technology rises to a new division of products, the future of computing is here.
