MEMBERS of Alberton SAPS, Vispol members, social crime prevention and other members from their offices are dishing out safety pamphlets to the community.
“It is all about highlights for the community of what to do it you need help from the police. Officers are always there to assist the community in a time of need. We need to make sure they are always vigilant,” said Capt Manare Ramotshela.
SAPS urge people to check and observe while driving.
“When you want to go to your house and a strange motor vehicle is behind you and they’ve been following you for quite some time, drive past your house and take note if they are still following you. If so, phone the police or drive to the nearest police station,” said Ramotshela.
Drug-related issues and other safety tips are also mentioned in the pamphlets. If you did not get one, visit Alberton SAPS.
