Casbah relocates to new premises

Strydom says the successful recipes have been thanks to Ponch and his wife Phyllis Theologo.

THE Casbah, a historic landmark in Alberton, recently relocated after 55 years.

The new premises is at the Alberton Crossing shopping centre on Voortrekker and Helston Roads.

CASBAH ROADHOUSE.

“My wife’s family (the Theologo’s) had created Casbah. Her Grandfather Ponch and her father Steven Theologo are the only Theologo family line left that run Casbah and maintain the 60-year-old recipes,” says Christo Strydom.

Strydom says the successful recipes have been thanks to Ponch and his wife Phyllis Theologo, who made a success at several roadhouses, namely Casbah (Brakpan, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Pretoria, Alberton, Germiston and Benoni), Pure and Cool (Malvern), 007, Pamola Roadhouse (Alberton), Burger Box (Vereeniging and Krugersdorp) and Luna Plaza (Benoni).

“We would like to reassure our customers that our standards will stay the same as it has been for over 60 years. We only use the best products in all of our recipes and we have and always will strive to put our customers first. We will always have specials for the working class to try to make it affordable to eat a meal every day to fit most budgets,” adds Strydom.

So, for a tasty meal at a long-standing Alberton restaurant, feel free to give them a visit and try out their delicious food.
