THE RECORD explored the town to find out what community members’ plans were to get healthier, whether it be spiritual or physical, this year.

Here follow some of their responses:

KANEASHA MORE: “I’d like to join a Bible study group and possibly make a few new friends. I’m trying to go to church often to be more in touch with my spirituality.”
GERRIE MULDERS: “I’m living the ‘student lifestyle’, and I’ve realised I needed to exercise to counterbalance it. I’ve started jogging and staying active as much as possible.”
TANIA RIBEIRO: “To stay spiritually healthy, I’ve started going to church more often. I’m also going to keep drinking green tea every day to stay healthy overall.”
EL-MÈ RAUBENHEIMER: “I started doing kickboxing this year. I hope it will keep me fit and I also really enjoy it. I’m also looking forward to finishing my last year at university.”
