Messages of hope from community members

Here follows messages of hope from community members for people on the brink of suicide.

It was International Teen Suicide Prevention Week recently, so the RECORD gathered some messages of hope from community members for people on the brink of suicide. Here is what they shared.

MARIETJIE TAME: “Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. You must believe that all problems are only temporary. Circumstances never stay the same, that’s a promise. Hang in there.”
KERRY JOHNSTON: “You must tell yourself and believe that ‘this too shall pass’. Don’t just end everything; life is a precious gift, so value it no matter how hard it gets. ”
HLENGIWE MABASO: “There is never a good enough reason to end your life. Every day is a gift from God. I feel that only He may decide when your life must come to an end.”
IRENE MOYO: “God created you for a reason. Don’t be selfish and end your precious life. Take a moment and be quiet. God will carry your troubles for you.”
