A show with a difference
“We always make a point of coming here and meeting our friends from roundabout. It’s such a relaxing day.”
THE Walkerville Agricultural Show was well attended over the weekend of March 10 and 11, with locals and other people coming from far and wide.
What makes it different to other shows is the relaxed vibe, farm animals where children had a chance to come up close to them and the less commercial aspect of the show.

“We always make a point of coming here and meeting our friends from roundabout. It’s such a relaxing day, with people selling farm fresh goods and we get to taste some of the homemade cheeses, as well as honey. The pumpkin competition is great to see,” said one woman who was enjoying the show with her husband and two children.
Umbrellas protected many of the crowd from the hot sun while enjoying delicious food and drinks. Others roamed around the stalls seeing what they could purchase. One of the stalls, Cargokilts, (kilt makers and tartan weavers) was particularly enjoyed by Colin Maule who hails from Scotland. The garden nursery was also a hit, with great bargains in potted plants and trees and the relaxed atmosphere made for a great day out.

The Walkerville Agricultural Show is an annual event, make sure you don’t miss it next year.
