Volunteers love to dance

Support UBTM.

ALL they want to do is dance and in doing so, inspire others to join them rather than loiter on the streets.

The Ubuhle Benhlangano Traditional Movement (UBTM) is a non-profit organisation in Johannesburg South with a group of volunteers who love to dance at functions, but even more so, to get more people to dance as it is a way of releasing emotions. The group has been dancing in the area at events or even just on the streets for fun. They are currently preparing a 15-minute long production with the intention to inspire, motivate and encourage other art groups in an exceptional way to live their life to the fullest and to follow their dreams.

“We have a financial problem since we cannot afford the cost which we will incur during the planning phase of our production. We are in dire need of sponsors for our outfits, some decorations and transport,” said founder, Thabo Sibande.

When asked about what their mission is, Thabo said: “The idea behind the production is to let the youth move forward and to mobilise as many youths into the organisation, mostly through singing and dancing, which move them away from the streets and keep them away from other social ills.”

If you want to help them or find out more about UBTM contact Thabo on 063 518 0848.

PASSION: The group loves to perform for audiences.
