New church sign for AFM in Eden Park

It was a great celebration and a wonderful day for all at AFM Church.

IT was a merry Sunday morning at the AFM (Apostolic Faith Mission) Church in Eden Park when, after a lively Sunday service, the church was proud to reveal a brand new sign on the side of the building.

This church’s official name is AFM Eden Park Miracle Revival and Worship House and can be visited on the corner of Opel and Passat streets in Eden Park.

After a lively church service, everyone went outside to witness the revealing of the sign. Two church members climbed onto scaffolding to get to the top of the sign, then removed the sheets of plastic to reveal a big, colourful sign with the church’s name and the pastor and his wife’s faces on it.

Church Elder Raymond Geyler took the opportunity to bless the sign and the church wall with holy water. He also said a little prayer with all who were present, to thank God for His blessings.

“We would just like to thank the Lord for the privilege to be able to work in Eden Park,” commented Pastor Kobie van Weren.

“We are very thankful. It’s my heartfelt desire that God will bring positive change to our community.”

After the sign was revealed and the church service was concluded, church-goers were invited to enjoy delicious braai meat and pap. It was a great celebration and a wonderful day for all at AFM Church.
