Get on board and fill “Thanksgiving Shoeboxes” for St Mary’s

GET on board and help fill “Thanksgiving Shoeboxes” for 60 children at St Mary’ s. Pam Golding Properties has decided to fill these special shoe boxes after a front-page article published in the CHRONICLE on October 3 (St Mary’s Children’s Home needs your help).
In the article, it was made clear the home depends on donations to keep their doors open and thus, also depends on giving hearts to make life for the children in the home’s care better.
“Many other children’s homes have had to close their doors and we’ve received urgent request daily to admit more children. Children are our future and our loyal supporters reminded us to keep the faith,” said St Mary’s Children’s home director, Sonja Harmse, during the home’s AGM (annual general meeting) in September.
She continued stating, “The effects of St Mary’s not being able to continue will be devastating to many, after rendering this service for 116 years, this home is undoubtedly a monument of humanity and care.
“Never have to become so desperate to keep our children housed and safe here in this home,” she said.
Pam Golding Properties is reaching out to the community to assist with donations of second-hand clothing, stationery, sweet packs or toiletries.
Donations can be dropped off at the Pam Golding Boutique office, 1 Aspen Lakes Drive, Aspen Shopping Centre, Aspen Estates by Wednesday, December 5.
