Steelwings Harley-Davidson MC supports those in need

THE MEMBERS of Steelwings Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Club, situated in the South, give of their time and make a great effort to support the underprivileged and the homeless.

The club is based at the Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre in Peggy Vera Road, Kibler Park, and the bikers undertake about 12 compulsory rides per year, including fund-raisers and Christmas parties.

With the money they raise, they hand out 520 hot dogs on Wednesdays, mostly to the elderly over 70 years of age.

Steelwings Harley-Davidson MC is a countrywide club and one of its recent beneficiaries was the Fire House Volunteer Recreational Centre in Randvaal.

To be part of the club one must own a Harley-Davidson. The rides take place over weekends and include multiple destinations, breakfasts, lunches and day events. The club also travels to rallies as far as East London, Margate, Nelspruit and Clarens.
