[GALLERY + VIDEO]: The Battle of Blackwater kicks off on Meyer Farm

Three teams took on each other in a day-long match on Meyer Farm.

THE first chapter of The Battle of Blackwater airsoft game took place on March 17 at the Waltmeyer Stables on Meyer Farm.

Airsoft matches are played between teams armed with replica weapons firing small plastic BBs.

Matches typically have objectives for the teams to complete, hampered by the opposing team firing upon them.

The Battle for Blackwater sparked off with three teams, red, blue and yellow, each aiming to complete a set of hidden objectives to earn them the top spot on the day.

Objectives to complete included finding clues to a hidden objective, claiming objects of importance and even capturing an opposing general.

The teams were each led by a general tasked with ensuring the team completes what they need to do.

Blackwater Airsoft plans to hold this event once a month, with each game continuing the story of the previous game.
