A suspect arrested for possession of dagga

Suspicious person makes a run and gets arrested

ON December 11, SAPS members Constable E J Nkuna and R/Constable Bungeni patrolled an area of Alberton when they noticed a suspicious person at the taxi rank near the post office, close to Alberton Primary school and the tennis club.

They performed a search and found 40 small bags of dagga on the suspect. The suspect then attempted to make a run for it and W/O Erasmus and Sergeant Coetzee, who were patrolling the other side of the street at the time, caught the suspect and arrested him.

The suspect will be charged with dealing in marijuana/dagga. “We as police officers are dedicated to removing all sorts of drugs from the street,” said Sergeant P F Nkuna.
