Tutela hosted their 35th birthday party

Tutela continues to serve the community after 35 years of loyal service to the people.

A COMMUNITY-based non-profit organisation, Tutela, hosted their 35th birthday. Their birthday celebration was held in Brackenhurst Dutch Reformed Church.

Since winter is approaching, the NPO is calling on the Alberton community to donate winter goods to ensure that the vulnerable keep warm during the cold season. People can donate blankets, jackets, beanies, scarfs, and gloves.

“People must take a moment to think of those who have to endure this winter on the street or in shacks and rooms with no hot water, no warm clothes, threadbare blankets, no electricity, and no food,” said Karen van Heerden, Tutela office administrator.

People can either drop the donations at Tutela offices or can call them for collection. Visit Tutela offices at 18 Lenin Street, Raceview. Call Karen van Heerden at 011 907 2922 to arrange a pickup.
