WHEN it gets cooler you know it is time for the Lutheran Church’s annual Winterfest.
The event, in line with the German heritage of the Church of Reconciliation’s congregation, will take place on June 1.
The delicious and lovingly prepared food offered at the Jahrmarkt has always proven to be a huge success for the crowds at previous such events.
To keep the younger ones occupied, while their parents have some quality time enjoying a great meal or two with wine or beer, there will be a jumping castle, cupcake decorating, a clown to paint the little ones’ faces and a game of prize-fishing, to ensure they also have some adult supervised fun.
A large selection of home-baked goodies with lots of warm beverages will also be on offer in the cosy hall. Like in the past there will be wine, craft as well as beer on tap on sale.
Entrance is free and everybody is welcome.
A 30 minute devotion will be held inside the church, also on the property, at 10am, and then all the stands will open at 10.30am. Lunch will be served from 11.30am and the Jahrmarkt will close at 6pm.
Plenty of secure parking across the road is available. The local CPF will be on patrol to ensure everyone and their vehicles are safe.
The Church of Reconciliation is situated at 75 Piercy Avenue, Parkhill Gardens, Lambton.
