Applications open at Mulbarton Remedial School

Providing a caring environment for learners to excel

MULBARTON Remedial School is a small school situated in the South of Johannesburg. For 15 years it has served the community with great success.

The school started at the request of parents who were in need of a school to meet their children’s specific needs. The school provides a caring and educationally sound environment through remedial teaching for children who do not cope in the mainstream classroom. Staff, parents and children work together as a team.

The staff at the school is highly qualified and experienced in remedial education. Many have been with the school for over 12 years, all adding to the school’s success. Each member is dedicated to the children’s achievement, and work hand in hand with teacher assistants and educational therapists.

The school caters for Grade One to Grade Seven learners. Classes are small, allowing for individual attention, and building confidence in each child. The school follows the national curriculum and tailors it to suit each child’s specific needs. The remediation is an on-going part of the day-to-day programme, with individualised programmes provided where necessary.

The school has a full aftercare programme where homework is done and lunch provided. Its allows for parents who can’t be at home to collect their children at the end of the school day, a safe environment to leave there child until collection.
