Hospice to benefit from the Shuffling Walkers’ event
Over the years, The Shuffling Walkers team donated thousands of rand to non-profit organisations who mostly deal with cancer related issues.
THE Shuffling Walkers are at it again with the hosting of their eighth Annual Family Fun Walk on July 28 in Bedfordview, promising that this year’s event will be as spectacular, if not better, than the previous events.
The walk, with its aim to raise cancer awareness, will not only offer three routes – a 2km, a 5km and a 7.9 km – through the beautiful streets of Bedfordview. Great entertainment is also lined up for the day.
Various food stalls, auctions, and prizes for the best-dressed walkers (woman, man, and group) form part of the fun planned for the day.
Raffle tickets will be on sale and at R30 per ticket, you stand a chance of winning one of eight prizes with the first prize a five-night stay for two people at the Veranda Tamarin Hotel in Mauritius, valued at R35 500.
Gates open at 6.30am and the walk is set to start at 8am. It’s all happening at St Benedict’s College in Harcus Road, Bedfordview, and tickets range from R100 per adult to R50 for children between the ages of five and 12 years.
Over the years, The Shuffling Walkers team donated thousands of rands to non-profit organizations who mostly deal with cancer-related issues. Stepping Stone Hospice as one of the beneficiaries has also been and will be, benefiting from this amazing initiative.
