Models excel at model of the year competition

Shannon French from Figures Alberton won the M1 division and will be taking part at the Project Aim Convention in 2020.

FIFTY students from Figures Finesse Alberton took part in the Figures Finesse International Modelling and Talent Agency’s annual International Model of the Year Competition.

The competition was held at the Roodepoort Youth Theatre and featured more than 500 Figures students from 19 separate branches.

Students were competing to win the grand prize of an all-expenses paid trip to attend the Project Aim Convention aboard the MSC Orchestra in March 2020, where exposure to local and international talent and modelling scouts takes place during the four-day convention.

There were five categories with one winner from each category walking away with the grand prize.

Hoërskool Dinamika learner, Shannon French from Figures Alberton, was the winner of the M1 division. She will be attending the Project Aim Convention next year.

Figures Alberton won the M1 division at the International Model of the Year Competition in 2015. Danielle Van Randen, in 2018, with Jolene Stander, and now French in 2019.
